COMMON QUESTIONS

DO I NEED INSURANCE?
  1. Home Insurance is mandatory and the Land Owner is required to have within that policy Public Liability of $10,000,000.
  2. Home Contents Insurance is optional but if your home was damaged in any way e.g. carpets, blinds, etc, these would not be covered. A small amount to cover the unknown items is suggested.
  3. Landlord Insurance is optional however we recommend a policy that will suit your needs, e.g. rent, absconding, death, default, etc.
DO I NEED SMOKE ALARMS?

Yes. Each home is to comply with the requirements of the Fire and Rescue Service Act 1990, Building Fire safety Regulations 2008 and all other relevant acts, legislation, by-laws, rules and regulations ; local, state and federal.

WHAT SERVICES DO I NEED TO SUPPLY?

A property is required to have electricity attached with a safety switch installed, water supplied and sewerage connected.

I HAVE A POOL, WHAT DO I NEED TO DO?

A Pool Certification is required prior to a property being rented as per Building Act 1975.  Each Pool must be lodged with the local Council.

DO I NEED TO SUPPLY KEYS?

Yes. Depending on the number of people listed on the General Tenancy Agreement and one for our office, e.g. 2 people plus us = 3 sets.
