DO I NEED A SOLICITOR OR CONVEYANCING?

Yes. It is highly recommend that home owners source a third party to act on their behalf, however, there is no reason why a seller cannot act on there own behalf.

DO I NEED TO COMPLETE A BUILDING AND PEST REPORT?

Currently in Queensland there is no legal requirements for a home owner to conduct a Building and Pest Inspection prior to listing their property for sale, however this may change.

I HAVE A POOL WHAT SHOULD I DO?

A pool must be registered with the local Council and it is a requirement that a Pool Safety Certificate or Final Inspection form be available. If not a Non-Compliance Certificate is to be completed.

DO I NEED INSURANCE?

Yes. You are required to maintain Home Insurance that covers Public Liability of $10,000,000.

I’VE CHANGED MY NAME?

Even though you have changed your name you will have to sign the relevant paperwork as the original land owner. All legal owners are to sign paperwork.
