Named after William Deagon who was Mayor of Sandgate from 1882 – 1884, Deagon is only minutes away from the sea breezes, beautiful views and all the other attractions of Moreton Bay. Located approximately 20 kilometres from Brisbane’s CBD, it is one of the last suburbs on the northside of Brisbane with deep water mooring.
Public transport is excellent with city trains and buses servicing the suburb and access to main arterial roads is nearby.
Residents are well catered for with primary and secondary schools located in Deagon and the surrounding suburbs, as well as North Point Institute of TAFE in Bracken Ridge.
Deagon Plaza has a child minding facility and gym and services the retail needs of the community. This is complemented by Sandgate Village Shopping Centre along Brighton Road.
There are plenty of dining options in and around Deagon, with many fast food outlets, as well as the cafes, pubs, fish and chip shops and restaurants all close by in Sandgate Village.
